The sequoia room has been very active these past few months. First of all I'd like to welcome our new families, our new little girl Quinn Wiita and her parents Ryan and Sara, Finn Muzia, Jen and Dave's son, and Tobin Barth, Samantha and Jeremy's little boy. We've been doing a lot of rocking, holding, feeding and bonding with our new babies, figuring out their cues and keeping them as comfortable as possible.
Time with our older group has been spent exploring the outdoors, including our new sandbox, which has been a great hit with Noah, Lexie, Orion and Luca. We've also been doing a lot of sensory and art, rice and beans, oatmeal and cornmeal, and drawing with crayons and marker pens. Some of our activities are very messy, so remember to pack extra clothes and none too precious. The children especially enjoyed playing with colored gelatin last week, what a fun way to make a mess!
Just a few quick reminders:
July 14th, 6 - 8 PM there is a playground work party here. This may be a great time to do some parent participation hours and meet other parents in our Kidspace community.
Please remember to label clothing and blankets.
We are also implementing a new system for a more efficient way of keeping accurate count of breast milk.
If you have any questions or concerns please don't hesitate to speak with us. The better communication, the better care we can provide as we're always striving for excellence.
Thank you all for letting us spend time with your children.
- Helen, Catalina, Chrissy, and Shoko
