Sequoia room Update 2011

Dear Sequoia Parents:
Where did January go? Well, for me it was spent in Russia;Moscow and St.Petersburg to be exact.I'm back safe and sound and have spent this past week catching up on all your children's new developments.
So happy to welcome Natalyn Buerman (Noah's sister) to our Baby Room. Jackie and Aaron are second time round parents with us and we are thrilled.
Catalina, Karissa and I are looking forward to planning some new activities for the rest of Winter. Our older group will be doing more sensory and manipulative activities and our younger ones will also be doing more sensory and motor skill activities. We continue to read books and sing songs and rhymes daily.
Beginning next week Shoko will no longer be our Tuesday and Thursday afternoon teacher. She decided to focus all her efforts in her kitchen. She'll be taking culinary classes and expanding the Kidspace menues. Although we will miss her in our room, she always spends time with us and will keep a close relationship with all the babies. Shamali Wijenayake will be taking her place. Shamali is our Floater and knows all the babies well.
Thank you once again for all your support and kind gifts these past holidays and for the support you showed my staff during my absence.I'm so pleased with our room and how smoothly it ran this month.
One more a quick reminder regarding breastmilk. Please remember to write your childs full name on the bags (containers) and also the full date. Sposibo.

Helen
